Role
We are looking for a Founding Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale the core platform powering enterprise AI agent operations. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building foundational systems, working across the stack, and collaborating directly with customers, product, and founders to shape an emerging category.
As one of the earliest engineering hires, you will have significant influence over architecture, product direction, engineering culture, and technical standards. You will help transform early prototypes into production-grade systems capable of supporting enterprise-scale AI deployments.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build infrastructure that becomes critical to how enterprises deploy and manage AI agents.
Objectives of the Role
You will help Nasiko:
Build the foundational infrastructure powering enterprise AI agent operations.
Deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platform capabilities.
Create a best-in-class developer and operator experience.
Accelerate enterprise adoption of AI agents through governance, observability, and control.
Establish strong engineering standards and technical foundations.
Shape product direction through close customer and market feedback loops.
Build systems that can scale from early design partners to large enterprise deployments.
Contribute to Nasiko's long-term technical vision and platform architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development
Design, build, and maintain core components of the Nasiko AI Agent Control Plane.
Develop systems for agent registration, discovery, governance, lifecycle management, routing, deployment, and observability.
Build APIs, services, workflows, and platform capabilities that support enterprise AI agent operations.
Develop integrations with agent frameworks, enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and developer tools.
Contribute across backend, infrastructure, platform services, and developer experience layers.
Distributed Systems & Infrastructure
Design scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems.
Build infrastructure capable of supporting large-scale agent deployments and enterprise workloads.
Optimize performance, latency, reliability, and resource utilization.
Implement monitoring, observability, logging, tracing, and operational tooling.
Contribute to deployment automation, platform reliability, and operational excellence.
AI Agent Ecosystem
Work with AI agents, LLM applications, workflow systems, orchestration frameworks, and emerging AI infrastructure standards.
Build systems that enable governance, visibility, control, and interoperability across diverse agent ecosystems.
Develop mechanisms for policy enforcement, access control, auditing, and compliance.
Help shape the technical architecture for enterprise AI operations.
Product & Customer Collaboration
Work directly with founders, product teams, and early customers to understand requirements and solve real-world problems.
Participate in technical discovery, architecture discussions, and solution design.
Translate customer feedback into product improvements and platform capabilities.
Help validate assumptions through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
Engineering Excellence
Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical planning.
Improve developer productivity through tooling, automation, and documentation.
Help establish engineering standards, best practices, and scalable development processes.
Contribute to a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
Develop a deep understanding of Nasiko's architecture, product vision, customer requirements, and the enterprise AI agent ecosystem.
Set up development workflows and begin contributing production code.
Understand the major platform components, technical tradeoffs, and architectural priorities.
Participate in customer, product, and technical discussions to understand real-world deployment requirements.
Deliver at least one meaningful improvement, feature, integration, or infrastructure enhancement.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with founders and the engineering team.
First 90 Days
Take ownership of one or more critical platform areas such as agent lifecycle management, governance, observability, deployment infrastructure, integrations, or developer experience.
Deliver production-ready features used by customers, design partners, or internal teams.
Contribute to key architectural and technical decisions that influence the long-term direction of the platform.
Improve system reliability, scalability, performance, or developer productivity through measurable contributions.
Establish strong engineering practices around testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Become a trusted technical partner to product, founders, and early customers.
First 6 Months
Lead the design and implementation of major platform capabilities.
Own systems from design through deployment, operation, and iteration.
Help transform customer requirements into scalable platform features and infrastructure.
Improve the maturity of the platform across reliability, security, observability, governance, and developer experience.
Contribute to technical roadmap planning and engineering prioritization.
Help establish the engineering culture, development standards, and technical principles that future team members will build upon.
Long-Term Success
Build systems that become foundational to enterprise AI agent operations.

Help Nasiko evolve from an early-stage product into a category-defining enterprise platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications
3–8 years of software engineering experience building production systems.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Rust, Python, Java, or TypeScript.
Experience building backend services, APIs, distributed systems, or cloud-native applications.
Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, and scalability principles.
Experience with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure environments.
Familiarity with databases, messaging systems, caching, and distributed architectures.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Experience shipping production software and operating systems in real-world environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building developer platforms, infrastructure products, cloud services, DevOps tooling, observability platforms, or enterprise software.
Familiarity with AI agents, LLM applications, orchestration frameworks, MCP, RAG systems, or AI infrastructure.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, service meshes, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS systems.
Knowledge of security, governance, identity, access control, or compliance systems.
Experience with event-driven systems and distributed workflows.
Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
Experience working at early-stage startups and building products from zero to one.
