Nasiko Buildthon at the Microsoft office, Bengaluru

The Nasiko Buildthon, hosted at the Microsoft office in Bengaluru in collaboration with the Dev Launchpad community, saw strong participation and engagement from the developer ecosystem: 110+ active builders took part during the hackathon, from 300+ total registrations.

Builders worked on real-time integrations and deployments within the Nasiko open-source ecosystem, with registrations coming in from developers working at companies such as Samsung, Axis Bank, Accenture, Salesforce, and several other organizations.

• 200+ GitHub stars and 40+ pull requests raised by developers during the hackathon
• 6K+ Instagram views and 2K+ impressions generated within the same day
• 30+ individual LinkedIn posts from hackers and builders sharing demos, reviews, experiences, and feedback around Nasiko

Key product and developer feedback

• Documentation: improve the Quickstart and onboarding documentation to make setup faster and easier
• GitHub repository representation: add quick demos, walkthroughs, and visual examples directly within the repositories
• Windows setup support: current setup docs are optimized for Mac/Linux; dedicated Windows + Docker setup documentation is needed
• Developer API setup guides: onboarding guides for OpenAI, OpenRouter, and other developer APIs, including environment setup demos and prerequisite configuration

The Nasiko Early Adopter Program form was also released during the event, and has already received 21+ submissions from developers interested in contributing to the open-source ecosystem on a longer-term basis.

And the momentum continues

Nasiko is also sponsoring the Cursor Colombo 24H Buildathon, one of the fastest-growing AI builder gatherings in the region, expected to bring together 500+ developers, hackers, founders, and AI-native builders for 24 hours of intensive building and experimentation, alongside ecosystem partners including Cursor, OpenAI, Gemini, ElevenLabs, Supabase, Convex, Vercel, Netlify, Fal, n8n, MiniMax, and Miro.

The hackathon created strong momentum around Nasiko across builders, open-source contributors, and the broader AI developer ecosystem, and gave us extremely valuable insight into improving the developer onboarding experience.
